Research and Resources on 21st Century Learning and the Integration of Technology for Improved Student Learning Outcomes

A 2012 National Research Council study on 21st century skills is reviewed in this EdWeek story and is also available directly from the NRC.

Salman Khan, of Kahn Academy, is at the forefront of implementing efforts to "flip" traditional classrooms from teacher-driven to student-centered learning environments. The CASTLE Center at the University of Kentucky has published a short research summary about the benefits of 1:1 technologies on student learning.

The inTASC Project at Boston College has a number of evaluation reports on instructional technology integration as well as data collection tools posted on its website.

While not research in the sense of the citations above, the Flipped Learning Network is a gathering point for teachers to share experiences and ideas around creating the "flipped classroom".
